My favourite “fleeting moment” photo that I have ever taken is the one of the student walking home from the bus stop in Liege Belgium in December 2011. I thought I’d blogged it before but for the life of me I can’t find where… So, if I have previously, forgive me. If I haven’t – enjoy.
I saw her walking, and so jumped out of my car, rested my camera against the car roof and snapped it. ISO 1600, 1/40 second, f5, -0.7 exposure bias, 85mm focal length, and black and white action in Photoshop using “Kevin’s Secret Formula”.

It’s a shame that it’s blurry & out of focus.
Ah, but that’s how I actually liked it… I felt that it gave the photo a feeling of movement – and how Liege is – kind of dark and depressing.
I’ve never been there and now I don’t want to go 😀
Ha ha ha, yes I thought you might have something to say about my photo and comment. When I saw Liege on TV two days ago during the Tour de France I couldn’t believe how sunny it looked! Remember, this is the city where I didn’t see the sun from November to January one year. And where I’d leave to go to school (when I went to school) in the dark, and return home in the dark! I love your comment about the people having the sun in their hearts…

I love it, Robin. It certainly has a dismal feel to it but it’s a fine capture.
i don’t usually like blurry, but this time it works beautifully. Will go down in my list of favorites from you.
Looks mysterious doesn’t she? Nice post my friend! I’m back after a long absence… please check out my post http://wp.me/p1Hsm2-8b
I love pics like these…what was she thinking about? Where was she going? Who is she? Amazing the emotions and thoughts a photo can evoke.
You think like I do…
nice shot for the theme
so we do not forget some moments if they are fixed like this …
