Formerly 'Rambling with a cantankerous old mule"

Drift branch

There is an old wreck 2km up the beach from where I was staying this holiday. Every time I took a walk down to it and back, I came across this branch just above the high tide line. Early in the holiday, on an overcast day, I took the first photo. The second was shot on my last evening there. Same subject, and yet, completely different… Do you have a favourite?

Both were shot at 16mm.

Love Day 3. It looks like the branch is trying to take cover from the impending storm.

I prefer the latter. the first resembles a figure giving up before the storm while the other looks like a figure striving to stand again.

Welcome. I hope you enjoy the visit.
