What a perfect post for my first of 2013. This week’s challenge started as follows: “… recently, I’ve been inspired by all types of lights, from the tiny white twinkles draped over trees during the holidays to the spectacle of fireworks in the night sky on New Year’s Eve. But sometimes I stumble upon stunning displays of light in the most unexpected places …”
I recently spent close to two weeks at the beach in the Eastern Cape, South Africa. One evening I went for a walk along the beach and was treated to the most perfect illumination of them all – natural evening light. That’s what inspires me!
(In the last shot I added I bit of my own light.)
Beautiful pictures! It must be so nice to walk on the beach this time of year!

The skeleton of the boat reminds me of how desolate those beaches would have been two hundred years ago. If you were shipwrecked, you were far from civilization in those days. Great pics Robin.
superbes, chacune a une âme, que ce soit une représentation de la paix et de la sérénité ou une image plus torturée… vraiment magnifiques Rob !
