On Sunday I posted about a lunch which I enjoyed with some friends at their home in Annecy, France. Today its the turn of an informal photo shoot from the day. I had featured my friends’ 17-year-old daughter Mimi in my previous post about the “Big Heads” because of her very expressive face and outgoing nature but I had to promise her that I would also take some “normal” photos of her.
On arrival, when I saw her in her very “Christmasy” outfit, I knew it was the day. I first took a few photos of Mimi and her brother, who apparently calls himself Niño on Facebook, before lunch. After the meal, with the light fast fading, I convinced all the kids to join me at the edge of the lake where I took the rest. The kids kept referring to Mimi as “Top modèle”, thus the title of the blog post.
At the age of 15, Niño is anything but a niño in stature – already standing a gigantic 1.95m tall. No midget myself, even I needed to stand on tiptoes to kiss him hello. (Yes, that’s what they do here – one kiss on each cheek, starting with the left.)
“I remember you from when you lived here in France six years ago, and you used to swing me around,” he told me. “I remember you being smaller than you are though.”
Mmmmmm, thanks a lot, Niño … What are you really trying to say?
Beautiful!
Bonny youngsters.
