Yesterday I featured some still lifes from a balmy winter’s afternoon. Today is the turn of anything but still lifes taken on the same afternoon – an acrobatics display from the teenager of the house. And all quite appropriate that the Olympics gymnastics competition was on at the same time!
Firstly, there was the warm-up in the presence of Olympic competitors.
Next, we moved on to a bit of tumbling and other moves which I’m convinced a body shouldn’t do that effortlessly. I fell on my head doing gymnastics when I was younger. This brought back nightmarish memories of that occasion but I swallowed the anguish and snapped away (with my camera) …

And then, gobsmacked at what her body could actually do, I brought out my wide-angle lens to capture the outlandish contortions this teenager was capable of…
Great pictures! Not easy when there is movement involved, I imagine.
Wowee, who on earth is this girl!?! Sjoh she is brilliant! Well done Rob in capturing this and sharing it with us.
OUFTI !!!
Ha ha ha ha! The perfect place to use “oufti!”
Amazing! I imagine it wasn’t easy to get pictures like that. I love the third and fourth pictures–such a pretty face to go with the gymnastic abilities!
Unbelievable! And to think I thought my hand-stands on the trampoline were cool…
She’s awesome!
Bianca, I wouldn’t call that “awesome”……………..I would call it “How does she do that with her legs, man!?”.
