When I read the title of this week’s photo challenge and that it was all about long exposures, my mind immediately went to some photos I took on Ile aux Nattes, off the coast of Madagascar, a few years ago. I’ve tried some reasonably successful star trails, I’ve done some dreamy-looking shots of people dancing (at a slow shutter speed) and this one of a girl running (which I took yesterday) has a funky feel to it.
But the photos on Ile aux Nattes remain the most dreamy – including this one, with the camera set on a table in front of our seaside cottage.
If I didn’t need to stick to a long-exposure photo I would feature this one, from the same holiday, because I am again dreaming of island adventures, or anywhere where I could breathe properly again.
And then, of course, there’s this one of young Frances, dreaming perhaps of a future as a model, or just a future without me bugging her to model for me.
Sorry, it’s been a barren time creatively … Hopefully we’ll get back up to standard next week.
