Practically Wordless Wednesday and Freshly Pressed
I’ve always been amazed at which of my posts are chosen for “Freshly Pressed” by the WordPress staff. It also amazes me that on the last two occasions that one of my blog posts has been chosen for this honour (it’s an honour to me, okay?) I was on the verge of considering quitting blogging. It also means a lot to me after the snub from a stock image site last week. I admit that my pics aren’t stock image-worthy, but I do appreciate that others do indeed rate them and get some joy from them. Yesterday’s “Photographing a beautiful old lady” was chosen, and several people stumbled on over expecting to see a studio shoot of a well-dressed dame. I don’t think they were disappointed as there is nothing revolting about a “Jag”. Thanks WordPress for picking it …
But on to WW. Last night I attended a Valentine meal with some friends at the home of other friends. These captionless pics were from the evening, as I wandered through their home capturing little details that caught my eye.

They called me weed
I have been blogging here since around April 2011 - my little place on the blogosphere to express myself creatively. As a teenager I used to write a diary - in fact, as a 17-year-old living in Belgium, I wrote religiously every day. Fortunately the Internet didn't exist back then because my ramblings as a teenager were ever-so-slightly dark, cynical and depressing. You won't find much of that here. Also, mostly, I try not to get too deep or philosophical in this forum - I'd like my photography to uplift and inspire, and, where I can, I try to bring a bit of humour into my writing too. I've been fortunate enough to travel extensively and have made many friends across the globe. This is my spot to keep in touch with them.

Lovely photos, great detail shots.
I was just sitting here wondering whether ought to order prescription reading glasses becasue the ones I use seem to aggravate my astigmatism I lose focus and everything gets blurry, then I clicked on your WW
It’s probably closest to the way things look for me normally than anything else I’ve seen. I like the table best crisp and clear and gives the appearance of a wordy valentine experience with good friends.
I like the red lanyard heart. Cool idea.

your photos are fabulous. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. A famous New Zealand sports person was once told ‘it is only one mans opinion’ and I think that is so true here.
