Merry Christmas from France, and from one of the more bizarre Father Christmases (Père Noëls, Santa Claus(es) …) you’ll ever see.

Father Christmas comes to town, to the horror of all the children of the house. (This photo's just for you, Anri)
Last night we had a very simple meal, then watched les Schtroumpfs (the Smurfs movie, which, I must admit, I didn’t enjoy when I first saw it in English). We then opened one gift each at midnight to many glass-shattering shrieks of delight!
I was asked what we normally eat for Christmas in South Africa. Well, I can tell you, here we had very un-South African eats like pâté, caviar on little toasts and vile-tasting cubes of “la vache qui rit” cheese.
The individual cheese wrappings all have interesting little facts printed on the inside, which the kids took great delight in asking the rest of us. Most of them I couldn’t answer, not being an expert on French general knowledge.
All the snow from last week has melted away, but the mountains in the distance are all still white and we’re enjoying sub-zero temperatures – perfect for a nice cozy Christmas.

My wrapping paper from the one gift I opened ... (Santa, Snowman, Rudolph and Robin. Interesting combo)
Oh my! Wishing you a very Merry Christmas! I’m totally jealous of all your travels by they way… Maybe some day I’ll have the opportunity to see that side of the world!
Great photos as usual. A very merry Christmas to you and yours
Aaaargh! Someone give me something to scrub that image from my eyes!!!!!
I was planning on writing “we love you just the way you are, no matter what you wear.” Now all I am left with is hysterical laughter, and “WHAT are you wearing?!?!”
Nice legs though…
I just loaded it as my desktop background. I am still laughing! Oh my goodness, thanks for posting it!
Sometimes, when you are a man… IT WAS SUPPOSED TO STAY IN YOUR ROOM.
