To me a weekly photo challenge should be just that – a challenge for those taking part to go out and take photos that fit in with the theme once the particular theme has been announced… And yet I see most of those taking part in the challenge just dredging up old photos from their archives. Which just got me wanting to conform (because I am such a conformist after all) … and so I rifled through my hard drive and found these from my holiday in December, all of which fit in with the theme for this week: sky… My oh my, how I love that beach house!
Although you may have seen similar pics in my blog or on my flickr page, these are all new … And how jealous I am right now, as my brother is enjoying these views real-time…
And the river has broken through to the sea for the first time in years… Nice pics!
Wow, that’s good news… I didn’t realise it had been raining down there.
astonishing! if you’ve left a link for people to visit your blog, is it the done thing that you should have a go at your guests for “just dredging up old photos from their archives”?
may be people don’t have the time? or simply just want to join in for a bit of fun? we all know that this is an exercise to encourage people to post more often as opposed to a competition. your comment might put a few people off visiting your blog, i hope they don’t. because you really are good at what you do!
Aha! Thanks for explaing how it works… That makes sense.
Nice to meet you.I came from “My English thought” blog.
How beautiful photos you took! I’m glad to know Madagascar and South Africa because I don’t know any of them.
I’m looking forward to reading your blog journey.
Ah wow:)
Please accept my sincerest apologies for the rant last week, it really wasn’t necessary.
Have a good day!
